Getting the most from a birthday calendar.
Write the day number first
Start each line with the date, then the name: "14 – Grandma". Keep each month in date order and you can see the whole month's birthdays at a glance.
Add the year for milestones
Put the birth year or wedding year in brackets so you can spot big birthdays and anniversaries coming up, like a 40th or a 25th.
Copy the month onto your calendar
On the first of each month, look at that month's box and add the dates to your monthly or weekly page, with a reminder a week early to buy a card.
Use it for more than birthdays
Anniversaries of a loss, pet adoption days, work anniversaries and religious milestones all fit. A small symbol in front of each name, like a heart or a star, keeps them apart.
Keep one on the fridge
A printed copy on the fridge or inside a cupboard door means the whole household sees what's coming. Keep the GoodNotes version in your planner too.

About this birthday calendar template
Need help importing it? See devices and apps or the FAQ.
What is a perpetual birthday calendar?
A calendar without days of the week or a year, so dates stay correct every year. You write each birthday once, under its month, and reuse the same page year after year.
How many birthdays fit in each month?
Each month's box has several writing lines, enough for most families and friend groups. If a month is busy, write smaller or use two lines per row.
Can I print it for a family command centre?
Yes. Print it on Letter or A4 and put it in a sheet protector on the fridge or noticeboard. Use a dry-wipe pen on top if you want to add notes.
Which planners include the birthday page?
Any planner with the Contacts & Dates section, such as the life planner and the home management binder. There it sits next to the contacts and important info pages, one tap away from the side tabs.
