Privacy policy

What we collect, why, and who else handles it. We collect as little as we can: one sign-in cookie, no ad trackers, and no stored planner files.

Last updated 5 November 2026

The short version

  • We collect what we need to build your planners, take payment and run your account, and nothing for advertising.
  • We use one cookie, to keep you signed in. No ad trackers.
  • Your saved planner settings are stored in our database. The generated PDF files are not stored.
  • If you use AI goal planning, only the goals you type are sent to Google's Gemini API.
  • You can delete your account and saved planners at any time.

What we collect

Account details

Your email address, an optional name, and either a securely hashed password or, if you sign in with Google, your Google account ID. If you're on the Seller plan, the shop name you choose for your covers.

Planner settings

When you save a planner we store its settings: the planner type, dates, format, theme, sections, habits, budget categories, subjects, the name and title you put on the cover, and any goals and AI-written milestones. This lets you edit and re-download it later.

Purchases

A record of what you bought and when, your plan and its renewal date, and Stripe references for the payment. We don't see or store your full card number.

Messages

If you use the contact form, we keep your name, email, topic and message so we can reply.

Files you upload

PDFs uploaded to the hyperlink tool are processed in memory to add links and returned to you. We don't keep a copy.

Technical data

Like most websites, our servers see your IP address when you visit. We use it briefly to count requests for rate limits (for example, daily AI limits and protecting the sign-in form from abuse) and in short-lived server logs for security and fixing errors.

What we don't keep

Planner PDFs are generated on our servers when you preview or download them and sent straight to your browser. We don't store the files. The same goes for sticker books, calendar exports and hyperlinked PDFs.

We never see what you write in your planner. Your handwriting and notes live in your note-taking app and its own cloud service, under that company's privacy policy.

How we use it

  • To build, preview and deliver your planners.
  • To run your account, take payment and manage subscriptions.
  • To send emails you need: receipts, password resets and replies to your messages. We don't send marketing email without your permission.
  • To keep the site secure and working, and to enforce fair-use limits.

AI goal planning

AI goal planning is optional. When you click to plan your goals, we send the goals you typed, with any reason and deadline you added, plus the planner type, start month and length, to Google's Gemini API. We don't send your name, email or account details.

Google processes that text to return suggestions, under Google's terms for the Gemini API. Please don't put sensitive personal information, such as medical details, in your goals if you'd rather it wasn't processed this way. If you skip the goals step, nothing is sent.

Who else processes your data

We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers to run the site:

ProviderWhat forWhat they receive
StripePayments and subscription billingYour email and payment details, entered directly with Stripe
Google sign-inOptional sign-in with your Google accountYour Google account email, name and a Google account ID
Google Gemini APIAI goal planning, only when you use itThe goal text you type, plus planner length and start month
Email delivery providerSending receipts, password resets and replies to messagesYour email address and the message being sent

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the site.

Cookies

We use a single cookie, set when you sign in, to keep you signed in. It lasts up to 60 days, or until you sign out. It's strictly necessary for your account to work, so we don't ask for consent for it.

We don't use advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers. The builder also saves an unsent draft of your planner in your own browser's local storage, so you don't lose your work if you close the tab; that stays on your device. Stripe may set its own cookies on its checkout pages for fraud prevention.

How long we keep it

  • Account and saved planners: until you delete them or your account.
  • Purchase records: as long as needed for tax and accounting law, even after you delete your account.
  • Contact messages: as long as needed to help you, and then deleted periodically.
  • Rate-limit counters and logs: short term only.

Your choices and rights

You can view and change your details on your account page, and delete your account there at any time. Deleting your account removes your account and saved planners and cancels any active subscription.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to some processing, or complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, email hello@customdigitalplanner.com from the address on your account.

Security

Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, the site is served over HTTPS, and sign-in cookies are protected from access by scripts. No system is perfectly secure, so use a strong, unique password, or sign in with Google.

Children

Some planners are designed for kids and teens, but accounts are meant for adults, or for young people using the site with a parent or guardian. If you think a child has given us personal information without permission, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes and contact

We'll update this page when the way we handle data changes, and change the date at the top. Questions? Email hello@customdigitalplanner.com or use the contact form.
