Who it's for
Managers running one-to-ones, team members who want a clean record of decisions, freelancers on client calls, and volunteers on committees and boards. It's also useful for parents at school meetings and patients at long appointments.
Getting the most from a meeting notes.
Fill in the header before the meeting
Write the meeting name, date and who's expected in advance. Jot the agenda as the first lines of the notes area so you can tick topics off as you go.
Note decisions, not everything
You don't need a transcript. Write what was decided, any numbers or dates, and questions still open. Mark decisions with a D in the margin so they're easy to find later.
Every action gets a name and a date
In the action items list, write who's doing it and by when: "Send budget – Ana – Fri". An action without an owner usually doesn't happen.
Copy actions into your planner straight away
Before the next meeting starts, move your own action items onto your weekly or daily page. Notes that stay in a meeting notebook get forgotten.
Use it for one-to-ones too
The same page works for check-ins with a manager or client. Keep them in date order so you can see what was agreed last time.

What should meeting notes include?
The date, who was there, the main points and decisions, and the action items with owners and due dates. This template has a section for each.
Can I type on it in GoodNotes?
Yes. Use text boxes or handwrite with a stylus. Duplicate a blank copy for each meeting and keep them in a notebook named by project or team.
How many action items fit?
Six checklist lines at the bottom. If there are more, continue in the notes area with a checkbox, or the meeting needs a project planner.
Is there a version for teachers or church meetings?
The same page works for staff meetings, PTA, committees and church boards. The teacher, pastor and business planners all include meeting notes pages.
