Guide

How to use a desk planner

A desk planner is the page that stays open next to the keyboard all week. One sheet per week keeps priorities, to-dos and habits in view without flipping between pages.
  1. Write the dates

It's undated, so write this week's dates at the top of the sheet.

  2. Choose three priorities

The three things that would make the week a success go in Top priorities.

  3. Spread tasks across the days

Each day has its own to-do column, so you can give tasks a day instead of one long list.

  4. Tick habits daily

The habit grid has a row for each habit and a box for each day.

  5. Look ahead on Friday

Use the next-week box for anything that rolls over, and the brain dump pages for ideas that don't belong to a week yet.

An example week in a desk planner

One goal, followed through a single week. The milestone and weekly actions are the kind of lines the AI goal step writes onto your month and week pages; the daily notes are what you add by hand.

Questions

Desk planner questions

How do I print it as a desk pad?

Choose US Letter or A4 in the builder, print the 52 weekly sheets and clip or bind them along the top. Each sheet is one week, so you can tear off the old week or keep it.

Is it dated?

No. It's undated, so you write the dates in. There are 52 weekly sheets, one for each week of a year, and you can start any week.

Can I change the habits on the grid?

Yes. Type up to six habits in the builder and they print on every weekly sheet, or clear them to write your own each week.

Is there a free desk planner?

You can build this desk planner and flip through every page in your browser for free, with a watermark. The tabs and links work in the preview, so you can check the layout before you pay. The clean PDF is $12 once, or included in Pro at $49 a year for unlimited planners. There is no free download of the full planner.

Does it work with GoodNotes, Notability, Samsung Notes and e-ink tablets?

Yes. Download the iPad size for GoodNotes, Notability, Noteshelf, Xodo, Collanote or ZoomNotes; the Android size for Samsung Notes, Penly, Flexcil or Xodo; or the E-ink size for reMarkable, Kindle Scribe, Boox and Supernote. The links work in any app that follows PDF links, usually in read mode rather than pen mode. Every size is included in the price.

Does the AI fill in the desk planner for me?

Only the goal parts, and only if you want it to. Type up to six goals and the AI writes a milestone for each month and a short action for each week onto your month and week pages, plus a motto for each month. You can edit every line before you download. Everything else, from the calendar pages to the trackers, is yours to fill in by hand. You can try it 3 times a day without an account.

How many pages is the desk planner?

With the default settings it comes to about 157 pages. That includes 12 month pages, 52 weekly pages, the Projects & Brain Dump, Goals, Projects & Meetings and Monthly Reviews pages and 20 notes pages. Switching off sections makes it shorter, and the builder shows the total as you change things.

Make it yours in about a minute.

Set your dates, device and goals, flip through the preview free, and pay only when it's right.
