Wedding Day Timeline Template (Printable PDF & GoodNotes)

A day-of timeline with three columns: time, what's happening, and who's responsible. Plan the wedding day from hair and makeup to the last dance, and give everyone involved the same schedule.

Shown for iPad in the Blush Boho theme. Printable downloads use white paper (there's a dark mode preview below); the e-ink version is black and white.

What's on it

One page, ready to fill in.

  • A table with columns for time, what's happening and who's responsible
  • Undated, so you can print or duplicate it as often as you need

Who it's for

Couples planning their own day, wedding coordinators, maids of honour and best men who'll keep things on track, and photographers planning coverage. Venue coordinators often ask couples for a timeline like this a few weeks before the day, so having it ready saves a rushed email later.

How to use it

Getting the most from a wedding day timeline.

  1. Work back from the ceremony

Write the ceremony time first, then work backwards to hair, makeup, dressing and photos, and forwards to the reception.

  2. Add buffers

Hair, makeup and photos almost always run late. Add 15 minutes before anything with a fixed start.

  3. Name someone for every line

"Who's responsible" might be a planner, a bridesmaid or the venue coordinator. On the day, the couple shouldn't be on it.

  4. Include vendor arrivals

Photographer, florist, caterer, DJ and transport. Each arrival is a line on the timeline.

  5. Print copies for the key people

Give the timeline to the wedding party, the venue and every vendor a week before, and bring spares.

  6. Plan the evening too

Many timelines stop at dinner. Add speeches, first dance, cake cutting, evening food, last orders and transport home.
