Packing List Template (Printable PDF & GoodNotes)
A travel packing checklist in six boxes: clothes, toiletries, tech, documents, health and extras. Tech, documents and health start with the things people forget, like a phone charger, adapter, passport or ID, tickets, insurance, medication and first aid, with blank lines to fill in the rest.

Who it's for
Holidaymakers, business travellers, families packing for children, students moving away, and anyone who gets to the hotel and realises the charger is at home. Parents packing for children's camp, sports tournaments or sleepovers find a written list saves the same forgotten items every time.
Getting the most from a packing list.
Write the list a week before
Writing it early gives you time to buy or wash what you need.
Plan outfits, not items
Count days and activities, then plan outfits that mix and match. It's the easiest way to pack lighter.
Check documents twice
Passport expiry, visas, tickets and insurance. Tick them off the documents box before you leave home, not at the airport.
Keep a master list
Fill in a copy with everything you always take and keep it. Copy it for each trip and adjust.
Pack medicine in your hand luggage
Keep medication and first aid in your carry-on in case checked bags are delayed.
Repack using the list
Use the same list to pack for the journey home, so chargers, adapters and documents don't get left behind in the hotel.

What's on the packing list?
Six boxes: clothes, toiletries, tech, documents, health and extras. Tech, documents and health are started with essentials; all six have blank lines.
Can I use it for a family trip?
Print one per person, or use the clothes box per person and share the rest.
Does it work for camping or a cruise?
Yes. Use extras for trip-specific gear like a tent, sleeping bag, formal wear or snorkel.
Is there a hospital bag version?
Yes. The hospital bag checklist is laid out for labour and a new baby.
How do I pack light?
Plan outfits around one or two colours, take things that layer, wear your bulkiest items on travel days and do laundry halfway through longer trips.
