Guide

How to use a theme park trip planner

Big theme park trips reward planning: dining reservations and ride bookings can open well before the trip, and a plan for each park day saves hours in queues. This planner keeps the bookings, the days and the budget together. Always check the park's official app and website for current times and rules.
  1. Set the budget early

Tickets, hotel, travel, dining, snacks, souvenirs and ride passes each get a line. Save towards it month by month.

  2. Note booking windows

Write the dates when hotel, dining and any ride reservations open for your trip on the month calendar.

  3. Plan each park day

Each park day plan has the park, date, opening hours and must-dos, then a timed list of rides and shows with booked and done columns.

  4. Track dining reservations

One page for every booking: date, restaurant, time, party size and confirmation number.

  5. Pack the park bag

Each park day has a short park bag checklist, and the Travel tab has full packing lists.

Digital vs printable theme park trip planner

A digital trip planner works offline in the park once it's in your note app, and sits next to the park's official app on your tablet.

Printed park day plans fold into a pocket. Print them on A5 or Half Letter, one per day.

Questions

Theme park trip planner questions

Is it official Disney or Universal merchandise?

No. It's an independent planner that works for any theme park. Park names and booking rules belong to the parks, so check their official apps and websites for opening times and reservation windows.

How many park days can I plan?

Eight park day plans are included. Duplicate a page in your note app for a longer trip.

Is there a free theme park trip planner?

You can build this theme park trip planner and flip through every page in your browser for free, with a watermark. The tabs and links work in the preview, so you can check the layout before you pay. The clean PDF is $12 once, or included in Pro at $49 a year for unlimited planners. There is no free download of the full planner.

Does it work with GoodNotes, Notability, Samsung Notes and e-ink tablets?

Yes. Download the iPad size for GoodNotes, Notability, Noteshelf, Xodo, Collanote or ZoomNotes; the Android size for Samsung Notes, Penly, Flexcil or Xodo; or the E-ink size for reMarkable, Kindle Scribe, Boox and Supernote. The links work in any app that follows PDF links, usually in read mode rather than pen mode. Every size is included in the price.

Can I print the theme park trip planner?

Yes. Choose A5, A4, US Letter or Half Letter in the builder for a printable PDF with a wider inner margin for hole punching. Printable and digital sizes come with the same purchase, so you can use the theme park trip planner on a tablet and print the pages you want on paper.

When does the theme park trip planner start, and how long is it?

It starts in the current month and runs for 6 months by default, so you don't pay for pages that have already gone. In the builder you can choose any start month and year and a length from 3 months to 5 years, so something you're planning a year ahead fits too. Or switch to undated and write the dates in yourself.

Does the AI fill in the theme park trip planner for me?

Only the goal parts, and only if you want it to. Type up to six goals and the AI writes a milestone for each month and a short action for each week onto your month and week pages, plus a motto for each month. You can edit every line before you download. Everything else, from the calendar pages to the trackers, is yours to fill in by hand. You can try it 3 times a day without an account.

How many pages is the theme park trip planner?

With the default settings it comes to about 106 pages. That includes 6 month pages, 27 weekly pages, the Theme Park Trip, Travel and Budget pages and 20 notes pages. Switching off sections makes it shorter, and the builder shows the total as you change things.

Make it yours in about a minute.

Set your dates, device and goals, flip through the preview free, and pay only when it's right.
