Who it's for
New homeschool families, parents teaching several children, families using a mix of curricula, and parents who need a simple record of what was taught each week.
Getting the most from a homeschool planner.
Fill in the curriculum plan first
List each subject, your curriculum and how many lessons it has. Divide lessons by school weeks to know how many to do each week.
Write lesson numbers in the weekly grid
"Math L23" or "Reading ch. 4" in each box keeps the week concrete and easy to check off.
Use one page per child
For several children, print a homeschool week for each. Shared subjects like history or science can go on all of them.
Keep Friday light
Use Friday for catch-up, projects, field trips and nature study. It gives slow days in the week room to recover.
Keep the pages as records
A year of weekly plans is a ready-made record of what you taught, which is useful for portfolios and any reporting your state or country requires.
Plan the week on Sunday, adjust daily
Fill in the grid once a week, then move unfinished lessons forward with an arrow rather than rewriting. Flexibility is one of homeschooling's strengths; the plan should allow for it.

What's in the free homeschool planner?
A weekly plan with a row per subject, Monday to Friday, and a notes and field trips box; and a curriculum plan with subject, curriculum, lessons and notes columns.
Can I use it for several children?
Print one weekly page per child. The homeschool planner also has a week plan for several children on one page.
Does it work for any curriculum?
Yes. It's blank, so it works for boxed curricula, eclectic homeschooling and unit studies.
Is it enough for record keeping?
It's a good record of what you planned and taught. Check your local homeschooling rules for what you need to keep.
