Bible Reading Plan 2027: the whole Bible in 365 days

A read-the-Bible-in-a-year planner with the day's reading on every daily page, S.O.A.P. journaling, a tick list of all 365 readings, a chapter tracker for all 66 books and a monthly reading streak. Old and New Testament, cover to cover or chronological.

A Bible reading plan with a dated page for every day of the year. Each daily page has the day's reading at the top with a tick box (for example Genesis 1–3; Matthew 1), then S.O.A.P. journaling: the verse that stood out, what you notice, how it applies and a prayer. The plan pages list all 365 readings with their dates to tick off, a books and chapters tracker has a box for every one of the Bible's 1,189 chapters, and a reading streak for every month keeps you going. It also has 12 S.O.A.P. study pages, prayer lists and verses to memorise. Choose Old and New Testament side by side, cover to cover, or chronological.

Guide

How to use a Bible reading plan

A Bible reading plan breaks the whole Bible into readings small enough for one sitting, so you can read it all in a year without guessing where to stop. This one puts each day's reading on its own dated page, with room to write down what you noticed.
  1. Choose your plan

Pick Old & New Testament (a reading from each most days), cover to cover, or chronological in the builder. All three cover every chapter once.

  2. Read today's chapters

Open today's page, read the chapters at the top in any Bible or app, and tick the box.

  3. Journal one verse with S.O.A.P.

Write the verse that stood out, what you observe in it, how it applies to you today and a short prayer.

  4. Tick the chapters as you go

The books and chapters tracker has a box for every chapter of all 66 books, so you can see exactly what you've read.

  5. Keep the streak, not perfection

Mark each day on the month's reading streak. If you fall behind, read on from today and catch up on a quiet day rather than giving up.

What to include in a Bible reading plan

A Bible reading plan should make the next reading obvious and leave room to think about it. This one includes:

Calendar

Daily, weekly and monthly pages

A dated page for every day of the year with that day's reading and S.O.A.P. journaling, and a month calendar for every month. Weekly pages are off by default to keep the file light; turn them on in the builder if you like a week view.

Digital vs printable Bible reading plan

A digital Bible reading plan opens straight to today: tap the date on the month page and the reading is at the top. Keep your Bible app on the other half of the screen, or use the PDF beside a printed Bible.

A printable plan works well in a binder next to your Bible. Print the daily pages a month at a time on A5 or Half Letter, and keep the tick list and chapter tracker at the front. Both versions come with one purchase.

An example week in a Bible reading plan

One goal, followed through a single week. The milestone and weekly actions are the kind of lines the AI goal step writes onto your month and week pages; the daily notes are what you add by hand.

Questions

Bible reading plan questions

Which reading plans can I choose?

Three, all covering every chapter of the 66 books once. Old & New Testament gives you an Old Testament reading and a New Testament reading on most days (day one is Genesis 1–3 and Matthew 1). Cover to cover reads from Genesis to Revelation in order. Chronological follows the order events happened, roughly: Job with the patriarchs, the Psalms beside David's life, the prophets beside the kings and the letters beside Acts.

Does it include the Bible text?

No. Each day shows the chapter references only, so you can read in any translation, printed Bible or Bible app you like.

What if I start late or fall behind?

Start the planner in any month and the plan begins on its first day. Choose a shorter planner (3 or 6 months) and the readings are split across those days instead. If you fall behind, read on from today and catch up on a quiet day; the books and chapters tracker shows what you've read either way.

Can our church or small group use the same plan?

Yes. Everyone who builds the planner with the same plan and start date gets the same reading on the same day, so you can read and discuss together. The Seller plan includes a commercial licence if you want to give copies out.

Is there a free Bible reading plan?

You can build this Bible reading plan and flip through every page in your browser for free, with a watermark. The tabs and links work in the preview, so you can check the layout before you pay. The clean PDF is $12 once, or included in Pro at $49 a year for unlimited planners. There is no free download of the full planner.

Does it work with GoodNotes, Notability, Samsung Notes and e-ink tablets?

Yes. Download the iPad size for GoodNotes, Notability, Noteshelf, Xodo, Collanote or ZoomNotes; the Android size for Samsung Notes, Penly, Flexcil or Xodo; or an E-ink size, either the general one or an exact fit for reMarkable 2, reMarkable Paper Pro, Kindle Scribe, Boox Note Air or Note Max, or Supernote. The links work in any app that follows PDF links, usually in read mode rather than pen mode. Every size is included in the price.

Can I print the Bible reading plan?

Yes. Choose A5, A4, US Letter, Half Letter or Pocket in the builder for a printable PDF with a wider inner margin for hole punching. Printable and digital sizes come with the same purchase, so you can use the Bible reading plan on a tablet and print the pages you want on paper.

Is the Bible reading plan dated or undated?

Dated by default, starting in January 2027. You can pick any start month and year (including this month), a length from 3 months to 5 years, and Monday or Sunday weeks. Or switch to undated and write the dates in yourself, so a skipped week isn't wasted.

Make it yours in about a minute.

Set your dates, device and goals, flip through the preview free, and pay only when it's right.
