Who it's for
Home bakers using recipes from other countries, cooks moving between cups and grams, and anyone who wants the key conversions printed on one page.
Getting the most from a kitchen conversion chart.
Stick it inside a cupboard door
Print it and tape it inside the cupboard nearest your mixing bowls. It's quicker than looking it up on your phone with floury hands.
Add your baking staples
A cup of flour, sugar and butter each weigh different amounts. Fill the table with the ingredients you use most.
Weigh once, write it down
Next time a recipe uses cups, weigh what you scoop and write it in the table. Your own measurements are more reliable than general charts.
Check fan oven settings
Fan or convection ovens often need a slightly lower temperature. Note your oven's adjustment beside the oven line.
Keep it in your recipe book
In a digital recipe book, keep the chart as the first page so it's one tap away.

About this kitchen conversion chart template

What conversions are on the chart?
1 teaspoon is 5 ml; 1 tablespoon is 3 teaspoons or 15 ml; 1 US cup is 16 tablespoons or about 240 ml; 1 US pint is 2 cups or about 473 ml; 1 oz is about 28 g; 1 lb is 16 oz or about 454 g; and 350°F, 400°F and 425°F in °C.
Why is there a table for my own conversions?
Cup-to-gram conversions depend on the ingredient. A cup of flour weighs much less than a cup of sugar, so the table lets you record the ones you use.
Are the cups US cups?
Yes. US cups are about 240 ml. Metric cups are 250 ml and older UK cups differ again, so check which a recipe uses.
Is it included in a planner?
Yes, in the digital recipe book, alongside a recipe index and recipe pages.
