Getting the most from a cleaning schedule.
Keep the daily list tiny
Four or five jobs you can do in 15 to 20 minutes. The daily list keeps the house reset; it isn't for deep cleaning.
Give weekly jobs a day
Write a day next to each weekly task: bathrooms on Monday, floors on Thursday, sheets on Saturday. One or two jobs a day beats a whole Saturday of cleaning.
Spread monthly jobs across weeks
Do one monthly job each week of the month. Week 1 fridge, week 2 oven, and so on.
Book seasonal jobs into your calendar
Windows, gutters and carpets take time. Put them on your calendar at the start of each season so they actually happen.
Share the list
Put initials next to jobs if several people live in the house. A printed list on the fridge ends a lot of "I didn't know it needed doing".

How do I make a cleaning schedule?
Split jobs by how often they need doing (daily, weekly, monthly and seasonally), then give each weekly and monthly job a set day. The template is laid out in those four groups.
Can I change the jobs?
Yes. Cross out anything that doesn't apply and add your own on the blank checklist lines.
