The 52-week challenge suits steady weekly saving, the 100 envelope challenge suits people who like variety, and a goal grid suits a specific target like a holiday.
Decide the amounts before you start: $1 to $52 a week, the reverse, or your own. Writing it down stops you renegotiating with yourself.
Transfer or set aside the money, then colour the square or tick the week. The planner records what actually happened.
The 52-week table has a total column, and the goal grid makes each square worth one hundredth of the target, so progress is easy to see.
Add the challenge as a line on the monthly budget so it's planned like any other bill, not left to whatever is spare.
The no-spend challenge pages are a quick way to free up money for a challenge that's fallen behind.
A savings challenge planner needs the challenges themselves and the budget behind them. This one includes:
Month calendars to mark paydays and deposit days, and a weekly page in columns for the week's challenge deposit. No daily pages.
A 52-week savings challenge across two pages, a 100 envelope challenge and two savings goal grids of 100 squares.
Savings trackers, sinking funds, debt payoff pages, no-spend challenges, a subscriptions audit and net-worth snapshots.
A monthly budget in your own categories, an expense log and a bill tracker.
Every section can be switched off in the builder, and sections from other planners can be added.
Savings challenge printables are popular for a reason: a grid on the fridge is satisfying to colour and hard to ignore. Print the challenge pages on A4 or US Letter.
The digital version suits people who budget on a tablet and want the challenge next to the numbers. Colour squares with a highlighter tool, and the totals stay tidy.
One goal, followed through a single week. The milestone and weekly actions are the kind of lines the AI goal step writes onto your month and week pages; the daily notes are what you add by hand.

See all themesIf each envelope holds its number in dollars, filling all 100 adds up to $5,050. Many people halve it, or spread it over two years. Write your own rule at the top of the page.
The usual version saves $1 in week 1, $2 in week 2 and so on, which adds up to $1,378 over 52 weeks. You can reverse it and start with $52, or choose your own amounts; the table has a deposit and a running total column.
You can build this savings challenge planner and flip through every page in your browser for free, with a watermark. The tabs and links work in the preview, so you can check the layout before you pay. The clean PDF is $12 once, or included in Pro at $49 a year for unlimited planners. There is no free download of the full planner.

Yes. Choose A5, A4, US Letter or Half Letter in the builder for a printable PDF with a wider inner margin for hole punching. Printable and digital sizes come with the same purchase, so you can use the savings challenge planner on a tablet and print the pages you want on paper.
Dated by default, starting in January 2027. You can pick any start month and year (including this month), 12 or 18 months, and Monday or Sunday weeks. Or switch to undated and write the dates in yourself, so a skipped week isn't wasted.
Only the goal parts, and only if you want it to. Type up to six goals and the AI writes a milestone for each month and a short action for each week onto your month and week pages, plus a motto for each month. You can edit every line before you download. Everything else, from the calendar pages to the trackers, is yours to fill in by hand. You can try it 3 times a day without an account.
With the default settings it comes to about 146 pages. That includes 12 month pages, 53 weekly pages, the Savings Challenges, Savings & Debt and Budget pages and 20 notes pages. Switching off daily pages or sections makes it shorter, and the builder shows the total as you change things.
Set your dates, device and goals, flip through the preview free, and pay only when it's right.
