Build a one-month buffer
At the top of each paycheck page, write the pay date, the amount and the date of the next payday.
Write each bill, its due date and amount. These come out first.
Split what's left between spending categories and savings until the leftover is zero or a small buffer.
Use the expense log and bill tracker to tick off bills and note spending as it happens.
Savings trackers and sinking funds help you put a little aside each paycheck until bills can be paid from last month's money.
A budget by paycheck planner should be quick to fill in on payday. This one includes:
Dated month calendars and a weekly page for each week, to mark paydays and bill due dates. No daily pages.
26 paycheck budget pages, enough for biweekly pay all year, each with bills due before the next payday, spending and saving, and what's left.
A monthly budget, expense log and bill tracker.
Savings trackers, sinking funds, debt payoff pages, no-spend challenges, a subscriptions list and net worth trackers.
Every section can be switched off in the builder, and sections from other planners can be added.
A digital paycheck budget planner is with you on payday, and you can copy last paycheck's bills onto the next page in a few taps.
A printable paycheck budget works well in a binder with cash envelopes. Print the paycheck pages on US Letter or A4 and fill one in each payday.
One goal, followed through a single week. The milestone and weekly actions are the kind of lines the AI goal step writes onto your month and week pages; the daily notes are what you add by hand.

A monthly budget assumes all your money arrives at once. A paycheck budget matches each bill to the paycheck that has to cover it, which helps when pay and bills fall on different days.
You can build this paycheck budget planner and flip through every page in your browser for free, with a watermark. The tabs and links work in the preview, so you can check the layout before you pay. The clean PDF is $12 once, or included in Pro at $49 a year for unlimited planners. There is no free download of the full planner.

Dated by default, starting in January 2027. You can pick any start month and year (including this month), a length from 3 months to 5 years, and Monday or Sunday weeks. Or switch to undated and write the dates in yourself, so a skipped week isn't wasted.
Only the goal parts, and only if you want it to. Type up to six goals and the AI writes a milestone for each month and a short action for each week onto your month and week pages, plus a motto for each month. You can edit every line before you download. Everything else, from the calendar pages to the trackers, is yours to fill in by hand. You can try it 3 times a day without an account.
With the default settings it comes to about 167 pages. That includes 12 month pages, 53 weekly pages, the Paycheck Budget, Budget and Savings & Debt pages and 20 notes pages. Switching off sections makes it shorter, and the builder shows the total as you change things.
