A digital planner that syncs with Google Calendar
Your planner's monthly milestones and weekly actions show up in Google Calendar as all-day events, through a private subscription link. Change a goal in the planner and the calendar follows. It's one-way: the PDF stays a PDF, so what you handwrite stays in your notes app.
Free to build and preview. Calendar sync switches on once the planner is unlocked: $12 for one planner, or any plan.

My planner goals (subscribed)
How it works, in three steps.
- 1
Plan your goals
Make a dated planner and type up to six goals in the builder's Goals step. AI writes a milestone for every month and an action for every week, and you can edit any of them.
- 2
Unlock it and open My planners
Buy the planner ($12) or use Pro or Seller. In My planners, choose Add to calendar on that planner.
- 3
Choose Google
Google Calendar opens on the web and asks whether to add the calendar. Confirm, and the events appear wherever you're signed in to that Google account.
What it does, and what it doesn't.
It does
- Adds each monthly milestone as an all-day event on the 1st of its month, titled “Milestone: …”
- Adds each weekly action as an all-day event on the first day of its week, Monday or Sunday to match your planner
- Names the goal, and the month or week, in each event's description
- Marks the events as free time, so they don't show you as busy
- Keeps itself up to date: edit goals or milestones in the builder and the calendar picks up the change the next time it checks the link
- Works with any calendar app that can subscribe to a link, including Apple Calendar and Outlook
It doesn't
- Sync back. It's one-way, from the planner to Google Calendar. A subscribed calendar is read-only there, and nothing you do in the calendar changes the planner
- Copy handwriting. What you write in GoodNotes, Notability or Samsung Notes stays in the PDF
- Put your existing appointments into the planner PDF
- Include habits, daily pages or times of day. Habits can go to Notion instead
- Work with undated planners, or before you've planned goals in the builder
- Update the moment you save. Google checks subscribed calendars on its own schedule, which can be anywhere from a few hours to about a day
Adding it to Google Calendar.
With the Google button
In My planners, choose Add to calendar, then Google. A new tab opens Google Calendar with a prompt to add the calendar. Confirm it. The calendar takes your planner's title, followed by “goals”.
By URL instead
If the button doesn't work in your browser, or you'd rather add it to a different Google account, add the link by hand:
- In the Add to calendar window, copy the private link.
- On a computer, open Google Calendar.
- Next to Other calendars on the left, select +, then From URL.
- Paste the link and select Add calendar.
Adding by URL is done on a computer. After that, the calendar shows in the Google Calendar app on your phone and tablet too. If it doesn't, open the app's settings, find the calendar under your account and make sure it's switched on.
Prefer a one-off import?
Choose Download .ics file instead and use Google Calendar's Import option. Imported events are a snapshot: you can edit them in Google like any other event, but they won't change when you edit the planner.
Device notes.
Google Calendar on the web
Where you add the calendar. Both the Google button and From URL work here.
Android phones and tablets
Once added on the web, the calendar appears in the Google Calendar app. Keep the planner itself in Samsung Notes, Penly or another PDF app on the same tablet.
iPad with GoodNotes or Notability
Use the Google Calendar app, or add your Google account to Apple's Calendar app. The planner stays in your notes app; put the two side by side while you plan your week.
Work or school accounts
Some organisations limit what can be added to work calendars. If the calendar won't add, try a personal Google account.
Printable planners
Sync works for printed planners too, as long as they're dated. The events come from your goals, not from the file format.
Questions people ask
Is there a digital planner that syncs with Google Calendar?
Yes, in one direction. Planners made here can send their monthly milestones and weekly actions to Google Calendar through a private subscription link, and changes you make to those goals reach Google by themselves. Handwritten notes don't sync, because a PDF can't send them anywhere.
Does it sync both ways?
No. Google treats it as a subscribed calendar, which is read-only there. To change an event, edit the milestone or action in the builder, and Google updates it the next time it checks the link.
Will what I write in GoodNotes show up in Google Calendar?
No. GoodNotes, Notability and Samsung Notes keep your handwriting inside the PDF on your device. What syncs is the plan behind the planner: the milestones and weekly actions you made in the builder.
How often does it update?
Our link asks calendar apps to check every 12 hours, but Google decides for itself. In practice it can take anywhere from a few hours to about a day for a change to show. We can't force a refresh from our side.
What do I need for calendar sync?
A dated planner with goals planned in the builder's Goals step, unlocked on your account: bought for $12, or covered by Pro or Seller. Undated planners can't sync, because their weeks have no dates.
What happens to the calendar if my Pro plan ends?
A planner you bought on its own stays unlocked, so its calendar link keeps working. A planner that was only covered by Pro or Seller stops updating its calendar when the subscription ends.
Who can see my goals?
Anyone who has the link. It's a long random address that isn't listed anywhere, but treat it like a password. If you've shared it by mistake, choose Reset link in the Add to calendar window; calendars using the old link stop updating.
